Ladder Back Side Chair 2022All wooden parts are white ash sourced from a single tree on a neighboring farm. All parts are hand split from fresh logs using wedges and axes. The posts, rung and seat rails are turned on a lathe and finished by hand with a spokeshave. The back posts and back slats are steam bent. The mortise and tenon joinery is assembled utilizing traditional moisture differentials between parts to create mechanically locked permanent joints. Hide glue is used at
